Cypriot FM hails Egypt as key stabilizing force in Middle East

Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos has praised Egypt as a crucial pillar of stability and security in the Middle East.

Kombos made this statement during a meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aaty in Cairo, Caliber.Az reports per foreign sources.

During their discussions, Kombos emphasized Egypt's leading role in maintaining peace and security in the region, calling for efforts to prevent further escalation and destabilization. The meeting also included extended consultations on strengthening bilateral relations between Cyprus and Egypt.

The talks covered a range of topics, including the deepening of cooperation between the two countries, relations between the European Union and Egypt, energy issues, and the broader situation in the Middle East.
