Czech drone maker Primoco UAV to build new factory in Písek

The Czech drone manufacturer Primoco UAV has received approval to construct a new production facility in the city of Písek.

The project will require an investment of €30.6 million, with manufacturing expected to begin in 2028, Caliber.Az reports, citing Czech media.

The new plant will have the capacity to produce up to 300 drones annually.

Founder and CEO Ladislav Semetkovský said the project will strengthen the company’s position in the global drone market and create a state-of-the-art industrial facility for the 21st century.

Primoco UAV produces drones for both civilian and military applications, including pipeline inspection, border and coastal security, fire monitoring, and search-and-rescue operations.

Its Primoco One 150 model can stay airborne for up to 15 hours and is deployed across four continents.
