21 March 2026 10:18
Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš abruptly returned to Prague on Friday (March 20) after receiving reports of a possible terrorist threat in the country, according to the news portal Denikn.
Babiš was en route to Budapest to participate in debates with local journalists affiliated with the ruling Fidesz party. However, after intelligence indicated a potential attack in the eastern city of Pardubice, his aircraft was redirected back to the Czech capital.
Upon landing, Babiš convened the country’s National Security Council to assess the situation and coordinate preventive measures.
