Czech president: Israel’s security must not harm other nations
Czech President Petr Pavel has said that Israel’s security must not be ensured at the expense of the security of other states.
“We have long expressed support for Israel and at the same time say that stability in the entire [Middle East] region is important to us. This means that Israel’s security cannot be ensured at the expense of the security of other [countries],” Pavel said, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
He emphasized that the Czech Republic maintains constructive relations with Arab states in the region and is interested in participating in initiatives aimed at promoting peace in the Middle East.
Pavel also pointed to the broader consequences of ongoing conflicts in both the Middle East and Ukraine, highlighting their impact on people, economies, and global security. He stressed the urgency of ending these wars and reaching negotiated settlements.
“Each of us should try to ensure that these conflicts are ended as soon as possible and that the parties reach peace agreements,” he added.
