Media: Joe Biden steps into public eye after son reveals worsening health

Former US President Joe Biden, who is battling prostate cancer, was seen in public for the first time after his son, Hunter Biden, said his father’s health had deteriorated, the Daily Mail reports.

Joe Biden was seen leaving a church after mass in Wilmington. The former US president reportedly “looked frail.”

In May 2025, Biden announced that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. He subsequently underwent a five-week course of radiation therapy. In September 2025, he also underwent surgery for skin cancer.

In June, former US First Lady Jill Biden told NBC News that the cancer had metastasised to his bones and that her husband would be battling the disease for the rest of his life.
