Danish PM keeps emergency supplies kit on stand-by, fear of Russian threat

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, revealed that she has stocked up on non-perishable food to be able to provide for herself and her family for up to three days in preparation for a potential attack from Russia. 

Frederiksen pointed out that she was merely following the official recommendations of the authorities while speaking to local broadcaster DR, as Caliber.Az reports.

"I believe Danes should do the same," the prime minister emphasized, clarifying that while she does not expect an imminent attack by Moscow to hit the country, she keeps stocks in case of a cyber- or hybrid attack.

The Danish Emergency Management Agency had previously advised residents to prepare for an attack or other potential crisis by stockpiling supplies of water, food and medicine, and keeping iodine tablets at home in case of a nuclear emergency.

“The reality is that Denmark and our allies are threatened by hybrid war,” Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen warned back in July, urging citizens to "prepare for the fact that, for a short period, we may be without access to electricity or water, or be unable to buy basic necessities.”
