The crash involved four vehicles. Preliminary investigations suggest that one bus driver attempted to overtake a truck while another bus, travelling in the opposite direction, also tried to pass a vehicle. This led to a head-on collision between the two buses.
One of the drivers tried to avoid the crash by swerving, triggering a chain reaction in which several other vehicles lost control and overturned multiple times. Police arrived promptly at the scene and are continuing the investigation.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or further details about the accident.
