Deadly highway collision claims 11 lives in Tajikistan PHOTO
At least 11 people were killed and four others injured in a major traffic accident on the Dushanbe–Kulob–Khorog highway in Tajikistan, authorities said.
The crash occurred on the morning of July 2 at the 32nd kilometre of the highway near the village of Elok in the city of Vahdat, Caliber.Az reports, citing Tajik media.

The Interior Ministry said a Dulan truck suffered a brake failure before colliding with an Opel Zafira and then crashing into a Toyota Prado.
The truck driver, the driver of the Toyota Prado, and nine passengers traveling in the Opel Zafira and Toyota Prado were killed at the scene. Officials said the identities of several of the victims are still being established.
Four other people sustained injuries and were taken to hospital for treatment. One of the injured is reported to be in critical condition.
Senior officials from the Interior Ministry, traffic police officers and representatives of the prosecutor's office responded to the scene. An investigation into the cause of the crash is underway.
