Deadly overnight strikes hit Kyiv, leaving multiple casualties, damage Photo

Overnight shelling by Russian forces struck Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv, causing fatalities, injuries, and significant damage across several districts, local authorities said.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the death toll has risen to five people, including a 12-year-old girl. A total of 45 individuals were injured in the attacks. Of those, 26 were hospitalised, while others received medical treatment at the scene, Caliber.Az reports. 

The strikes caused damage in multiple parts of the city, including the Desnianskyi, Podilskyi, Obolonskyi, and Shevchenkivskyi districts. Emergency services responded overnight, assessing destruction and assisting affected residents.
