Deadly road accident in Brazil leaves five dead, eleven injured PHOTO

Five people were killed and 11 others injured in a traffic accident in central Brazil.

The injured, including the elderly and children, were rescued in serious and moderate condition, Caliber.Az reports per Brazilian media.

They were transported to hospitals in Formosa and Brasília. Part of the highway remained closed during the rescue operation.

Preliminary information indicates that a minibus carrying 16 passengers collided with the rear of a truck in the right lane of the highway. The truck driver was not injured.

Although a breathalyser test returned a negative result, he was taken to a police station in Planaltina to provide testimony.
