Deadly Russian assaults hit Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region

Russian attacks in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region have left one man dead and a woman injured, local authorities report.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the regional military administration, said the strikes hit the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 559 attacks across 37 settlements in the region.

These included 17 air strikes, 338 drone strikes – mainly using FPV drones – five rocket artillery attacks, and 199 conventional artillery strikes.

Authorities received 51 reports of damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and infrastructure.
