Shooting near Israeli consulate in Istanbul leaves three dead PHOTO / VIDEO/Updated

Three suspects were neutralised during an incident outside the Israeli Consulate General in Istanbul, according to Haberturk.

Authorities said two of the suspects were killed, while a third was wounded.

At least three people were killed and two police officers injured in a shooting incident near the building housing the Israeli consulate in Istanbul on April 7.

Witness footage captured by Reuters showed a police officer drawing a weapon and taking cover as gunfire echoed through the area. One individual was seen covered in blood at the scene.

A strong armed police presence is always maintained in the area ​near ​the ⁠Israeli consulate. Television footage showed armed ​police patrolling in ​the ⁠area after the shooting.
