Death toll from Russian missile strike on Kryvyi Rih rises to six, Ukraine says
As of 09:00 on 13 June, reports indicate that there are four dead and 25 wounded from the overnight attack on Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
The statement came from Oleksandr Vilkul, head of Kryvyi Rih Defence Council; Office of the Prosecutor General; Serhiy Lusak, head of Dnipro Oblast Military Administration, Ukrainska Pravda reports.
"Unfortunately, there are six people dead now. The search and rescue operation is ongoing" Vilkul said.
The Prosecutor-General's Office reported that four people had been killed according to preliminary information received, and 25 more had sustained multiple injuries as a result of the attack.
Apartment buildings and private houses, a private company, a car company and cars suffered significant damage.
During the inspection of the scene, fragments of missiles, the type of which is being established, were found.
Search and rescue operations continue. The exact number of fatalities and casualties is being established.
Under the procedural leadership of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched in criminal proceedings over violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (part 2 of article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih on the night of 12-13 June 2023. Earlier, three deaths were reported, but there are still people under the rubble.
