Debris from air defence interception injures several in Abu Dhabi

Several people were injured in Abu Dhabi following incidents involving falling debris, authorities said.

The information was shared by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on social media, Caliber.Az reports.

In a statement, officials said authorities responded to two separate incidents in which debris fell at different locations after air defence systems successfully intercepted incoming threats.

“In the first incident, a Jordanian citizen sustained minor injuries, while in the second, Egyptian citizens suffered injuries of moderate severity,” the statement said.

Authorities did not provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the interceptions but confirmed that emergency services responded to both incidents.
