Denmark allocates 14.12 million dollars to Ukraine for purchase of 155 mm ammo
Denmark is allocating 100 million kroner ($14.12 million) for the joint purchase of 155-mm ammunition for Ukraine within the European Defense Agency (EDA).
The weapons are expected to be delivered during 2024, according to the kingdom's Defence Ministry, TASS reports.
“The Ukrainians are still in a situation where they are acutely short of artillery ammunition. We have to do something about this, and with this contribution Denmark - in cooperation with a number of other EU countries - is taking responsibility for supplying Ukraine with 155mm ammunition for their artillery. Denmark will contribute to increasing joint purchases of ammunition and remains ready to support Ukraine in the long term,” Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen is quoted in a press release.
