Dozens injured after bus crash in southeast Czech Republic
Forty people were injured after two buses collided near the village of Oleksovice in the south-east of the Czech Republic, emergency services said on July 18.
Michaela Bothová, spokesperson for the country’s integrated rescue and fire service, said that 10 of the injured sustained serious and moderate injuries.
“40 people were injured in a collision between two buses near Oleksovice, of whom 10 sustained serious and moderate injuries,” she said, according to the ČTK news agency.
A child was among those injured and sustained minor injuries. Thirteen rescue and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
Traffic at the site of the crash has been temporarily suspended, while police have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
