Russian strikes kill civilians across Ukraine, hit Nova Poshta facilities PHOTO

Russian forces carried out a series of attacks across Ukraine overnight and during the previous 24 hours, killing at least four people and injuring others, while strikes also damaged Nova Poshta facilities in the Kyiv region.

The attacks included strikes on warehouse facilities belonging to Nova Poshta in the Bilohorodka community and a production facility in the Sviatopetrivske area of Kyiv region during the night of August 28, according to Ukrinform. Information on casualties and injuries at those sites was still being clarified.

Anton Ovsiienko, head of the Bilohorodka community, said the location came under two additional strikes almost an hour after the initial attack, while emergency crews were working to extinguish a fire.

The rescuers managed to move to a safe area, he said. Emergency response operations were continuing at the site amid heavy smoke.

Elsewhere, Russian forces attacked two districts in Dnipropetrovsk region more than 10 times from the evening onward, using an aerial bomb, drones and artillery. Two people were killed in the attacks.

Zaporizhzhia region also came under sustained attack. A total of 861 strikes were recorded across 53 settlements over the previous 24 hours, killing one woman and injuring six other people.

Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said the attacks comprised 18 airstrikes, 626 drone attacks, 11 strikes involving multiple-launch rocket systems and 206 artillery strikes.

In Kharkiv region, a Russian drone attack killed one person and injured two others, including a child, according to the report.
