Dozens injured in train collision in southern Czech Republic

Forty-two people were injured when an express train collided with a passenger train on November 20 in the southern Czech Republic, authorities reported.
The accident occurred near the city of České Budějovice, approximately 150 kilometres (100 miles) south of Prague.
Ambulance service spokeswoman Petra Kafková told AFP that among the injured, 40 sustained light injuries while two suffered serious injuries. She added that the crash was reported at 05:19 GMT.
Martin Kavka, spokesman for the rail operator Správa železnic, confirmed that all passengers had been safely evacuated from the trains.
Kavka declined to comment on the cause of the collision, noting that an investigation is still underway.
