Dozens of armed persons detained as Baku conducts special operation VIDEO

The Main Department on Combating Organized Crime of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has conducted a special operation in Baku to detain 19 armed people.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told Caliber.Az that 18 firearms - six Makarov pistols, a European-made pistol, seven Kalashnikov assault rifles, PM-98 machine gun, four hunting rifles, as well as 243 cartridges and about 2 kilograms of drugs - were found and seized from them.

All the detainees were arrested by court decision, a criminal case was opened and the investigation is underway.
