Dozens of militants killed in coordinated Pakistan counter-terror operations
In a series of large-scale operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan’s security forces, police, and the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) have killed at least 30 terrorists, including several high-ranking commanders.
According to Pakistani media, citing sources within the security services, 13 terrorists backed by India were neutralised during the operations.
In Lakki Marwat district, security forces eliminated 10 militants, including multiple senior operatives. Meanwhile, a targeted operation in Dera Ismail Khan resulted in the deaths of three Khawarij terrorists.
In the Bannu region, Peshawar police and CTD units confirmed the elimination of 17 terrorists, including three key commanders, with several others injured.
In the Sherihel area, 10 terrorists were killed, five were wounded, and the group’s organiser was apprehended by authorities.
Across these operations, security forces also seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, bolstering efforts to dismantle militant networks in the province.
