Drone fragment washes ashore on Romanian coast
A fragment of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was discovered on a beach in Romania.
The debris was found on the Black Sea coast in Constanța County on the evening of August 29. Local residents spotted the drone fragment after waves washed it ashore at Modern Beach and alerted law enforcement, Caliber.Az reports citing Digi24.
“According to preliminary information, the fragment did not contain any explosives,” the report added.
Romanian coast guard personnel arrived at the scene and examined the find. Specialists also discovered two other objects along the coast that appeared to be UAV debris.
Following the incident, rescuers urged tourists not to touch or move any suspicious objects found in the sea or on the beach. People were asked to immediately notify the authorities about any such discoveries.
