Drone hits home in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, one injured photo

A 79-year-old woman was injured in a nighttime drone strike on the settlement of Velykyi Burluk in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, according to the State Emergency Service.

Emergency officials reported that the woman was wounded after an attacking drone struck her home overnight. She was provided with the necessary medical assistance at the scene.

“An enemy drone hit the victim’s house during the night. She received the necessary medical assistance. State Emergency Service rescuers, under the threat of repeated shelling, extinguished a fire covering 100 square meters that broke out in an outbuilding. A residential house and a summer kitchen were damaged. Along with rescuers, State Emergency Service medics and a community rescue officer worked at the scene,” the statement said.

Rescue teams operated under the risk of renewed strikes as they extinguished the fire and assessed the damage.
