Drone hits Iranian Kurdish opposition base in Iraq, 2 wounded

A drone struck an arms depot at the headquarters of an Iranian Kurdish opposition group in the Iraqi town of Dekala, wounding two fighters, security sources said.

The attack comes amid heightened tensions in the region, Reuters reports.

Earlier Reuters reported that Iranian Kurdish militias have recently consulted with the US on whether, and how, to launch attacks against Iran’s security forces in western Iran.
