One woman was killed in a drone strike on a building belonging to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, the Kyiv City Military Administration has said.

Officials noted that the offices of Ukrtelecom and the German Embassy are located nearby, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

A major fire has broken out at the site, with flames already engulfing almost the entire roof.

Rescue and emergency services are working at the scene.

A drone has struck a building belonging to the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in Kyiv, triggering a major fire.

According to preliminary information, people remain inside the building and are currently unable to get out, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.

They are trying to escape through the windows.
