Drone strike hits residential building in Odesa, official says VIDEO
A Russian drone strike hit a multi-storey residential building in central Odesa, regional authorities said on Saturday, August 1, as Moscow intensified its aerial attacks on the southern Ukrainian port city.
Oleh Kiper, head of the regional military administration, said the city had come under attack by Russian strike drones.
“Russia attacked Odesa with strike drones. According to preliminary information, one of the drones hit a multi-storey residential building in central Odesa.
All emergency services are working at the scene. Information on casualties and the extent of the destruction is being уточняется,” Kiper wrote on his Telegram channel.
Emergency responders were deployed to the site, while officials worked to verify reports of casualties and assess the scale of the damage.
