Drone swarm targeting Odesa thwarted by air defence, warehouse hit photo / video
On the night of December 10, Russian forces carried out a large-scale attack on the Odesa region using strike drones.
Oleg Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, reported that Ukraine’s air defence systems successfully destroyed most of the incoming Russian targets. However, one infrastructure facility in the region was struck. The attack caused localised damage and ignited a small fire at a warehouse, which was quickly extinguished. No casualties were reported.
Authorities confirmed that critical infrastructure in the region continues to function normally, while emergency and monitoring services remain on alert to assess potential consequences of the attack.
Earlier reports from Russian media claimed that a gas compressor station in the Odesa region, near the settlement of Ananyev, had been destroyed by a “Geran-2” drone. Footage of an explosion circulated online, but local officials have not yet confirmed these reports.
