Drone threat forces Israel’s security officials into emergency meeting

Israel held an emergency meeting to address the growing threat posed by drones, with senior security officials taking part, according to the Israeli Defence Minister’s office.

The ministry said participants were presented with an assessment of the evolving threat and discussed operational, technological and regulatory measures to respond to it, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ynet.

According to the report, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Israel Katz, together with security agencies and relevant government ministries, are working on a comprehensive plan to counter the drone threat. Authorities are also working to finalise necessary law enforcement and regulatory measures.
