Dutch PM hospitalised after marine sting in Bonaire PHOTO
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten was briefly hospitalised during an official visit to Bonaire after being stung by an unidentified marine creature while swimming.
According to NOS, the incident triggered a severe allergic reaction, prompting his transfer to a hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.
Government officials said that after several hours of observation, doctors determined that no further monitoring was necessary and discharged the prime minister.
Jetten later shared a photo from the hospital on X, stating that he was feeling significantly better following treatment and intended to continue his working visit.

However, the incident forced adjustments to his schedule on the island. Several planned engagements were canceled, including a working breakfast with the executive council of Bonaire.
