Earthquake triggers massive fire in Turkish Iskenderun port

A massive fire started at the Iskenderun port in Türkiye after an earthquake.

The flames quickly spread among hundreds of cargo containers, the local newspaper Sabah reports.

Iskenderun is one of Türkiye's biggest ports. Statistics from the General Directorate of Maritime Affairs show that the port's total cargo turnover was 67.6 million tonnes in 2022.
