Egypt believes BRICS membership promotes economic reforms
Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq, Chairman of the Egyptian Senate and Chairman of the Mustaqbal Watan (Future of the Nation) party, has said that membership in BRICS promotes economic reforms in Egypt.
"The BRICS+ group is showing the fastest economic growth. The group's economies represent about 32 per cent of the world's GDP. Egypt's accession to BRICS was a kind of confirmation of the reliability of good economic and political relations between Egypt and the countries of the bloc," he said in a video message to the participants of the plenary session of the international inter-party forum in the format of "BRICS and Partner Countries" - World Majority for a Multipolar World, according to TASS.
"Joining BRICS contributes to advancing the reforms that Egypt has undergone in recent years in the economic and investment fields," the speaker added.
