Egyptian FM to visit Türkiye after 10 years

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Hassan Shoukry will visit Türkiye for the first time in 10 years.

Shoukry will visit Türkiye on February 27, 2023, to express solidarity and share his condolences over the earthquake in Kahramanmaras, TRT Haber reports.

He is expected to visit Adana and the port of Mersin, where an Egyptian ship with humanitarian aid will arrive, and hold a bilateral meeting with Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry also announced that the purpose of the visit to Türkiye and Syria is to demonstrate solidarity with the two countries and their fraternal peoples after the earthquake.
