El País shows evacuation of passengers from hantavirus-affected ship PHOTO

Evacuation of passengers from a cruise ship affected by hantavirus infection is being accelerated, El País reports.

According to the newspaper, the second transfer of passengers from the vessel to the pier took place less than 20 minutes after the first, and was always carried out under the escort of a Civil Guard patrol boat.

The second group arrived at the pier of the port of Granadilla at the same time as the departure of the first bus to Tenerife airport, where they are expected to arrive in approximately 12 minutes.

The Civil Guard closed all access roads to the port during the evacuation operation.
