El Pais: Spain ready to train 400 Ukrainian soldiers

Spain is willing to train 400 Ukrainian soldiers within the framework of the EU’s Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine), the Spanish El Pais reports.

The EU Council has published further details on that mission, such as that it will take place within the territories of EU member states and will aim to train 15,000 Ukrainian servicemen in the next two years, having been allocated a budget of €106,7 million.

According to El Pais, 400 is only an estimate as the final number of trainees will depend on how many soldiers Kyiv will be able to release from their active duty at that time.
