Musk sets up beds near White House office for overnight government reform
Elon Musk, the billionaire behind SpaceX, Tesla, and X, is applying his renowned work ethic to government reform, reportedly bringing beds into a federal office near White House to work overnight with his engineering team.
Known for his relentless pace and unconventional management style, Musk has applied his signature hustle to his latest role—leading the Department of Government Efficiency under President Trump’s administration, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.
This level of intensity, typical of Musk's operations at SpaceX and Tesla, is now being used to overhaul the federal bureaucracy.
“He’s a big cost-cutter,” President Trump remarked, acknowledging Musk’s unique leadership style. “Sometimes we won’t agree with it, and we’ll not go where he wants to go. But I think he’s doing a great job. He’s a smart guy.”
Musk, embracing the role, claims his commitment to weekend work gives him a competitive advantage in an environment where the federal workforce typically enjoys weekends off.
“Very few in the bureaucracy actually work the weekend, so it’s like the opposing team just leaves the field for 2 days!” Musk posted on X, showcasing the drive that fuels his latest endeavour.
