Emergency crews respond to major gas leak in Czech Republic
A significant gas leak has occurred on Ke Karlovu Street in the heart of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
The leak was caused by damage to a gas pipeline during construction work, Caliber.Az reports via Czech media.
As a precautionary measure, the area around the site has been sealed off, and surrounding streets have been blocked to traffic. Eyewitnesses reported that both cars and buses are unable to pass through the affected area.
Gas service teams are at the scene, measuring the concentration of gas to assess the risk. Despite the arrival of emergency services, no immediate action has been taken to resolve the situation, as specialists continue to assess the severity of the leak. Authorities are currently waiting for technical support to safely reach the pipeline and prevent further gas loss.
