Envoy blames French National Assembly for hindering Azerbaijan-Armenia peace
Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Leyla Abdullayeva has commented on the anti-Azerbaijani resolution adopted by the French National Assembly.
The diplomat shared her views on her Twitter account, APA reports.
"To the attention of the National Assembly of France: Armenia has held Azerbaijani territories under occupation for 30 years, violated the fundamental rights of a million Azerbaijanis, committed war crimes and devastated the region. You've been silent all this time. By talking now, you are only hindering peace!" she tweeted.
As expected, the French National Assembly adopted an anti-Azerbaijani resolution on November 30.
All 256 deputies of the lower house of the French Parliament voted for the resolution.
On November 15, the Senate, the upper house of the French parliament, also adopted a resolution calling for the imposition of sanctions against Azerbaijan.
