16 February 2026 14:30
More than 50,000 Israeli military personnel hold dual citizenship, according to figures released by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and cited by Israel’s ambassador to Ukraine, Mikhail Brodsky.
Brodsky shared the data, saying the IDF had provided updated statistics on the number of service members who are citizens of another country in addition to Israel, Caliber.Az reports.
According to the figures, more than 3,200 of those serving in the IDF are citizens of Ukraine. The largest group of dual nationals in the Israeli military are citizens of the United States, numbering more than 12,000.
