Epstein files: Clintons, Obama, Biden and Prince Harry among 300 names released

16 February 2026 10:12

Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced the release of over 3.5 million pages of documents related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act.

The disclosure includes a list of approximately 300 politicians, public officials, and prominent figures whose names appear in the files, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media.

In a letter to congressional leaders, Bondi and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche stated that the Department of Justice had released all materials required under the Act. The correspondence was sent to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, ranking member Dick Durbin, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, and ranking member Jamie Raskin.

The list of names includes high-profile figures such as President Donald Trump, former President Barack Obama, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, tech entrepreneur Bill Gates, media executive Mark Zuckerberg, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, singer Beyoncé, musician Bruce Springsteen, and Britain’s Prince Harry, among others.

Officials emphasised that inclusion in the files does not imply wrongdoing or direct contact with Epstein. Some individuals were cited in press clippings or peripheral references unrelated to criminal conduct, while others reportedly had documented email exchanges with Epstein or his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

The DOJ noted that certain materials remain withheld due to deliberative-process, attorney-client, and work-product privileges. Victims’ identities and personally identifiable information were redacted. A “small number” of documents remain under court review and may be released pending judicial approval.

According to the department, a team of hundreds of lawyers reviewed approximately six million pages of material to meet the December 19 deadline. Bondi and Blanche stressed that no records were withheld due to “embarrassment, reputational harm, or political sensitivity.”

Controversy also emerged after Representative Ro Khanna publicly named six individuals on the House floor, alleging the DOJ had concealed their identities. The department later clarified that four of the individuals were merely part of a Southern District of New York photo lineup with no known ties to Epstein.

Under the Constitution’s Speech and Debate Clause, members of Congress are shielded from certain liabilities for statements made in their official capacity.

Lawmakers were granted access to unredacted files beginning February 9, although it was later revealed that the DOJ monitored search activity within the database.
