Erdogan: Türkiye expects Armenia to take positive steps in region
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that Türkiye expects Armenia to take positive steps in the region.
"At the moment, we do not see sufficient steps by Yerevan to normalise ties with Ankara and Baku," Anadolu quotes the Turkish leader as saying.
He also outlined the Armenian Diaspora's negative activity in the United States and France, which negatively affects the negotiation process.
Meanwhile, the president also commented on the Russian troops' withdrawal from Kherson, describing it as a positive step, according to TRT Haber.
Erdogan noted that Türkiye will continue to mediate between the warring parties. He hopes that the negotiation process will succeed.
"Russia's decision on Kherson is a positive decision, an important decision. I do not know whether Russia will participate in the G20 or not, if it does, we will have the opportunity to meet there. Otherwise, we will continue to conduct telephone diplomacy with the Russian Federation. We hope that we will succeed in mediation," the Turkish leader said.
On November 9, the Russian military command announced that it was withdrawing troops from Kherson to the left bank of the Dnieper.
