Estonian MFA to summon Russian chargé d’affaires over arson attack

The Estonian Foreign Ministry is expected to summon Russia’s chargé d’affaires over the 15 August arson attack on the building of defence company Milrem Robotics in Tallinn.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said the incident was an act of sabotage organised by Russian intelligence services, Caliber.Az reports, citing Estonian media.

According to him, the conclusion was based on information from Estonia’s Internal Security Service.

Tsahkna made clear that Estonia, together with its allies, would continue supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Russia.

In mid-September, Latvia handed over three Estonian citizens suspected of involvement in the arson attack. A court subsequently ordered that all three be remanded in custody.

Milrem Robotics produces THeMIS unmanned ground vehicles, which are supplied to Ukraine.
