“Bulgaria has an important role in moving enlargement forward. Great to have met Bulgaria’s new Foreign Minister, Velislava Petrova-Chamova.
We discussed how to help candidate countries move towards the EU based on merit, while already bringing them closer with concrete benefits before membership.
We also spoke about Bulgaria’s important role in connecting Europe and Asia via Türkiye and the South Caucasus,” Kos wrote on the social media platform X.
