EU Commissioner launches “missile tour” in France to boost Ukraine aid
European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius is set to visit France on April 16 as part of a “missile tour” aimed at expanding the production and supply of weapons for Ukraine.
The trip is part of broader European Union efforts to accelerate missile production and reinforce the continent’s defence industrial base amid ongoing security challenges, European Commission's press service said.
During his visit, Kubilius is expected to tour facilities of leading French defence companies, including the site of MBDA Bourges and Safran, alongside representatives of the French government.
Talks are set to focus on scaling up production capacity, strengthening supply chain resilience, and enhancing military support for Ukraine in the context of the ongoing conflict.
