EU declares inadmissibility of all-out bombing of southern Gaza

EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell has said that the EU appealed to Israel not to use all-out bombing tactics in southern Gaza.

“Israel must not use the same tactics in southern Gaza that it used in the north. However, the situation is not changing, it is only getting worse, the number of innocent civilian victims is growing,” Borrell said as he arrived at the meeting of EU foreign ministers, TASS reports.

He noted that the parties to the conflict must come to terms, if not on a truce, then at least on humanitarian pauses to save civilians.

Moreover, Borrell called for looking one step forward and starting to discuss what to do with Gaza after the end of the conflict.

“We continue to say that they should not be driven from their land, but it is difficult to say this because people fearing bombs are searching for shelters that no longer exist in Gaza,” he added.
