EU energy reserves enough for 90 days, says commission’s spokesperson

EU member states have adequate oil and gas reserves to last 90 days despite supply chain disruptions caused by the Middle East conflict, European Commission spokesperson Anna-Kaisa Itkonen ‌stated.

In Brussels, she told reporters that the Commission is much less concerned about supply reliability than about high energy prices, Caliber.Az reports via French media.

She added that there are no signs of an emergency. Itkonen confirmed that G7 countries will discuss the potential release of strategic reserves at a meeting later on Monday.
