EU extends sanctions against Iran

The Council of the European Union has extended sanctions against Iran until April 13, 2027, due to serious human rights violations, according to the official EU Council website.

The measures include travel bans, asset freezes, and a prohibition on exporting equipment to Iran that could be used for domestic repression or telecommunications monitoring.

Additionally, EU citizens and companies are forbidden from providing funds to individuals listed under the sanctions.
