The EU has extended sanctions against Syria until June 1, 2025, according to the press service of the EU Council.
"Today the Council extended EU restrictive measures against the Syrian regime and its supporters until June 1, 2025, given the gravity of the deteriorating situation in Syria," stated the Council.
The review led to the removal of five deceased individuals and one other person from the blacklist, leaving 316 individuals and 86 legal entities currently sanctioned.
