EU foreign policy chief's South Caucasus tour: From Yerevan to Baku
EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas will visit Armenia and Azerbaijan on May 4–5 for a series of high-level meetings, the European External Action Service said.
On May 4, Kallas is scheduled to attend the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, where she is expected to deliver press remarks. The gathering will be followed by the first-ever EU-Armenia summit.
Kallas will also participate in a leaders’ meeting hosted by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, alongside António Costa and Ursula von der Leyen.
On May 5, she is set to take part in the EU-Armenia summit at the leaders’ level before traveling to Azerbaijan later the same day.
In Azerbaijan, Kallas will hold bilateral meetings with President Ilham Aliyev and Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, among other officials.
