EU head continues close contacts with Azerbaijani, Armenian leaders
President of the European Union (EU) Council Charles Michel continues close contacts with the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia to promote EU efforts towards strengthening stability in the South Caucasus and normalization of relations between the two countries.
According to Caliber.Az, this is stated in the EU statement regarding Azerbaijan and Armenia.
The leaders agreed to hold a trilateral meeting on May 14, 2023, in Brussels.
Thus, the discussion of the leaders will accompany the meeting of French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on the margins of the forthcoming summit of the European political community in Chisinau on June 1, 2023.
The leaders also agreed to continue trilateral meetings in Brussels as often as necessary.
President Michel also expressed his intention to invite the leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, France and Germany to meet for the second time in October 2023 in Granada on the margins of the next summit of the European political community.
