EU ratifies Istanbul Convention after long process

The European Union has ratified the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, also known as the Istanbul Convention.

According to European Pravda, this was announced by Council of Europe Secretary General Marija Pejčinović-Burić.

In her Twitter, she welcomed the completion of the procedure on the part of the EU, noting that it was "a good day for Europe."
