EU’s high rep continues Central Asia tour with visit to Kyrgyzstan
High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell will travel to Kyrgyzstan on August 2.
The visit will be an important opportunity to confirm, in a challenging geopolitical context, the EU’s commitment to further developing relations with the country, as well as with the whole region of Central Asia, Caliber.Az reports citing the message on the EU’s website.
During his visit, he will meet with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, as well as the minister of emergency situations and the minister of internal affairs.
On August 3, Borrell will hold a bilateral meeting in Kyrgyzstan with Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev. Separate talks with Minister of Emergency Situations Boobek Azhikeev are also planned.
Before arriving in Kyrgyzstan, Borrell was on an official visit to Kazakhstan.
